Last weekend I was listening to hardcore history while pressure washing my house. All the talk about cannons reminded me that those cool-ass foam cannons for washing cars exist! So I bought one along with some Chemical Guys Mr. Pink wash and a clay kit. Everything arrives tomorrow and I am super excited about it!

I’ll most likely wash all of the cars, but the clay is for the Ranger. I’ve got plans to clay and wax the M3 too, but it’s time for a valve adjustment which I’m going to do myself this time along with some preventative maintenance for the VANOS. So I’m going to wait until all of that is done before I give it a full detail.

let me guess, Blue prints for Armageddon ? I love hard core history! I hate how long we have to wait for new episodes tho. That being said Blue prints for Armageddon might possibly be the best podcast series from any podcast ever.  took me about a month to get through all the parts to that series but my god, amazing!

I absolutely love my snow foam lance (U.S., foam canon). About an inch of product in the bottom of the litre bottle, filled to a little over half full with water (warm water mixes with the product better) and tip the unit a couple of times (b ut don’t shale it) to mix the product and water.

Then adjust the front nozzle for fan and knob on top of the unit for thickness (you want it thick but not overly so, too thick will sit on top of the dirt and not penetrate dirt and soften it sufficiently for rinsing off), adjust the knob clockwise for thicker, and anti-clockwise for a thinner mix.

Yep. I’m new to listening to podcasts in general, so I’ve a ton of stuff to catch up on. I ripped through both seasons of Serial, and also Caliphate, then I got started on hardcore history.

I bought a cheap Chinese foam cannon. Didn’t work at all at first. Took it all apart and got it to work but not great and it sure does use the soap. I have really hard water so that might be the problem.

Also Hardcore history is best.

Sorry. I can’t help it. It’s a knee-jerk reaction.

I see or hear car cleaning stuff and I turn into a jerk ranting incessantly about it.

Just have fun with it.

I bought a cheapo china cannon from Amazon and it works great. I never get regular suds in my wash bucket and the cannon was a game changer.

No it’s great. I’m not big on reading the instructions, and am quick to get pissed when something new does not work the way I want it to immediately. So now I know what to do to get started an can just make adjustments as I go

I never had any luck with mister pink in bucket or cannon.

In the cannon it never got any density no matter how much or little i added (yes i have a very beefy power washer).

As a bucket wash it always felt like it was stripping my wax off, even when using high end synthetic the previous week. I even switched to their waxs thinking maybe it was a comparability issue but it always bea ded and ran off better before washing. It was very frustrated.
